Woodpecker foraging activity in oak-dominated hill forests in Hungary

Abstract We documented the foraging activities of woodpeckers on selected trees in an established conservation-oriented management study five oak-dominated forests Hungary. examined tree species preference as a group and impact specific characteristics habitat use woodpeckers. estimated percentage visible signs trunks upper limbs through winter early spring 2019–2020.
